CSSB - Cuban-Style Salsa Basics
(recommended preparation: successful completion of Beginner Level 1)

Cuban-Style Salsa is predominant in Cuba and Miami and it has a strong presence in Toronto as well. Learning to dance Cuban-Style Salsa is integral to becoming a well-rounded Salsa dancer not to mention a lot of fun too! This course introduces students to the partnering fundamentals for this popular style of Salsa including an introduction to the basics of partner switching in "Casino Rueda" (partner switching mid-dance in a group). Instruction includes the development of core partnering movements for Cuban-Style Salsa as an extension of the core movement learned in BL1. Emphasis continues to be placed on rhythm & timing and lead & follow communication. This course is ideal for a semi-private group!
