NYMB - NY-Style Mambo/Salsa Basics
(recommended preparation: successful completion of Beginner Level 4)

This style of Salsa is predominant in New York and it is developing a strong presence in Toronto as well. Learning to dance NY-Style Mambo/Salsa is integral to becoming a well-rounded Salsa dancer. This course introduces students to the partnering fundamentals for this popular style of Salsa focusing on the timing characteristics and etiquette of dancing 'on-2'. Instruction includes the translation of the core movements learned in the Beginner stream to the timing of the NY Mambo (breaking 'on-2'). Emphasis is placed on rhythm & timing and lead & follow communication variations. Don't miss out!
